my vision

I was 21 when decided to study to be a cosmetologist. I dreamed of working in beautiful spa hotels around the world so I could travel and gain new experiences. I managed to take my work to Australia, the Bahamas and Florida whist travelling throughout Asia and South America in between jobs. As the years went by my travels to India and Sri Lanka inspired me to a different way of life. A healthy more natural eco friendly and plant based way of living.

Unfortunately on my return to london I found it hard to sustain this lifestyle within an industry that is highly focused on chemical ingredients and one use plastic. I became disillusioned and disappointed and didn’t feel comfortable giving treatments with products I felt were doing more harm than good. No longer believing in the work I once loved, I left on my travels once again seeking some sort of answer for my future. 

It was in Peru when I discovered the plant medicine ayahuasca. During my ayahuasca journey I had visions of myself doing treatments with my own natural products and I felt inspired to make it my mission to change the the way I worked in the beauty industry. 

When I returned home I returned to my studies but this time in Ayurveda and also cosmetic product formulation. Two years later I had my first batch of products to start working with. Initially I worked mobile with individual clients and had no intention of selling the products. However my clients loved the reactions their skin was having to my treatments; to finally finding a product that didn’t irritate their sensitive skin or finally being able to manage their hormonal acne. They wanted the products and they wanted more.

I got back to developing and now several years later we have over 100 products and we are always working hard to bring you the best new ingredients we can.

Unfortunately the product development took me far away from the industry I initially loved, one on one client facing skin treatments. There is nothing I love more than being with my clients and learning about their skin and teaching them my knowledge to help them improve their skin condition.

I teamed up with my best friend and we decided to open our first organic and eco friendly spa, Aura Organics Spa Hackney Wick, where all our treatments are performed using our products with our amazing team of therapists.
